What to do if your home network goes down

An interruption to your home wireless connection can usually be resolved by restarting all of your online equipment.

Remember! Do not move the Altibox gateway box, as this could damage the fiber connection and incur subscriber damage responsibility.

 

  1. Re-start your Altibox gateway.
  2. Re-start any WiFi Pluss-devices in your network.
  3. Re-start any personal switch or router connected to your Altibox gateway box.
  4. Test the network with another laptop, tablet or smartphone.
  5. Check that bridge mode is not activated under Avanserte innstillinger (advanced settings) in My Pages/Mine sider.
  6. Check that all cables are intact and properly connected to the Altibox gateway box and other devices.
  7. Switch from Auto to a fixed channel under Avanserte innstillinger (advanced settings) in My Pages/Mine sider.
  8. Switch from WPA to WPA2 under Avanserte innstillinger  (advanced settings) in My Pages/Mine sider.
